Free Yard Waste Disposal for District 5 Residents: Every Saturday in August!
To facilitate community home hardening and wildfire fuel reduction efforts, County Supervisor Monica Martinez and CDI are excited to offer no-cost yard waste disposal days to residents of the San Lorenzo Valley and unincorporated area of Scotts Valley.
District 5 residents are encouraged to take advantage of this special opportunity to affordably dispose of yard waste at the Ben Lomond Transfer Station every Saturday during the month of August.
Program details:
- Participants must be residents of the unincorporated area of District 5.
- Two-ton maximum per load.
- Standard yard waste size and material restrictions apply.
- No appointment needed.
- Self-haulers: Proof of residency required. | Contractors: Affidavit required.
Using a Contractor or Landscaper hauler?
If you're hiring someone to haul your yard waste, you'll need to provide them with a signed affidavit confirming they are hauling on your behalf.
Transfer Station staff will collect and verify affidavits at the gate. A separate affidavit is required for each load.
