Meetings & By-Laws

Meetings are held three times per year. For 2024 meetings will occur on April 8, July 8 and October 7. Thereafter, the second Monday of April, July and October. Holidays may cause this schedule to alter. The Commission may call for special public meetings in order to conduct timely Commission business.
Meetings are held at 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz on the fourth floor. Check-in at the General Information Desk opposite the elevators.

About Us

The Historic Resources Commission (HRC) implements the General Plan historic resources policies to designate, preserve, protect, enhance, and perpetuate those historic structures, districts and sites which contribute to the cultural benefit of Santa Cruz County, and to provide for this and future generations, examples of the physical surroundings of past generations.
