The Road Operations Engineering section is focused on maintenance of the County Maintained Road system. We oversee the County’s pavement management program which includes the design and contracting of pavement resurfacing projects on County maintained roadways. Operations Engineering also designs and contracts maintenance related and emergency repair projects, provides road crew design support, performs record keeping & research for the County Maintained Road System, handles reporting requirements for various road funding sources including Gas Tax, SB-1, and Measure D, and responds to public inquires about the County Maintained Road System.
