The Encroachment section processes and issues permits to the public and/or other agencies for the performance of work in the County Road Right of Way. An "encroachment" may include structures, facilities, or objects of any kind placed in the County Road Right of Way. The Encroachments group conducts engineering plan review and construction inspection for subdivisions and other private projects performing work in County’s Right of Way, is responsible for issuing permits for special use of the County Road Right of Way such as Event and Transportation Permits, and investigates unpermitted encroachment issues that arise within the County Road Right of Way such as unpermitted signs or structures, private vegetation obstructing the roadway, etc.
