The Transportation Division is responsible for the planning, design, maintenance, and repair of the County’s roadway system, as well as, special districts, signalization, and bikeway projects. The division is also responsible for transportation planning, traffic engineering, bridges, encroachments, utility coordination, and the maintenance and operation of the County’s 600-mile road network including various drainage facilities throughout the county. In addition, the division is responsible for the County’s surveyor, mapping services, and development review. This division is divided into four organizational units: Traffic, Surveyor and Development Review; Road Design Engineering; Road Operations Engineering and Encroachments; and Road and Drainage Maintenance.
