Subsidized Green Waste Disposal for District 5 Residents: Every Last Saturday in March - June 2026!
To facilitate community home hardening and wildfire fuel reduction efforts, County Supervisor Monica Martinez and CDI are excited to offer no-cost green waste disposal days to residents of the San Lorenzo Valley and unincorporated area of Scotts Valley.
District 5 residents are encouraged to take advantage of this special opportunity to affordably dispose of green waste at the Ben Lomond Transfer Station the last Saturday during the months of March - June.
Program details:
- Participants must be residents of the unincorporated area of District 5, and green/yard waste must be generated from the cleanup of their residential property.
- Two-ton maximum per load.
- Standard yard waste size and material restrictions apply.
- No appointment needed.
- Self-haulers: Proof of residency required. | Contractors: Affidavit required.
Using a Contractor or Landscaper hauler?
If you're hiring someone to haul your yard waste, you'll need to provide them with a signed affidavit confirming they are hauling on your behalf.
Transfer Station staff will collect and verify affidavits at the gate. A separate affidavit is required for each load.
