4/12/24 - Update

On Friday, April 12, crews were out on Mountain Charlie Road to install an inclinometer. An inclinometer is an instrument used to measure the angle of slope/title and depression of Mountain Charlie Road. With the deep-seated landslide like the one experiences on Mountain Charlie Road, this tool will play a crucial role in monitoring ground movement and slope stability.

On Thursday, March 26, a community meeting to discuss Mountain Charlie Road was held and residents had an opportunity to share their questions during the meeting. As noted during the meeting, the landslide is slowing down, which is a promising sign that we'll be able to survey the extent of the damage once the road is stable. Our crews have been closely monitoring the site and have been out every week to survey the site.
