This glossary lists common fee codes associated with your building permit.

Fee Code Description
A01 This is the administrative processing fee for EZ Permits (previously called Over-the-Counter permits) fees
A02 This fee is charged for building permit application extension processing.
A03 This fee is charged for building permit extension inspection.
A13 This is the half-hour rate for Building plan check when project exceeds two routings.
A14 Inspection hourly rate charged for missed inspections

A30 This fee is for building plan check and inspection for Green Building.
AAA This surcharge pays for the ongoing maintenance of the County's General Plan  and is applied to issuance fees.
AAA This surcharge pays for the ongoing maintenance of the County's General Plan  and is applied to intake fees.
AAB This surcharge pays for the long-term updating of the County's General Plan, technology and facilities  and is applied to intake fees.

ABB This fee is for administrative processing of the application from initial submittal to issuance.

AH1 Affordable Housing Impact fee - up to 2,000 square feet

AMB This fee is for a mechanical inspection (in the field).
AN1 Housing Fee-For non-habitable agricultural buildings located in the Agricultural or Commercial Agricultural districts.

$1.00 per net increase in square feet of floor area 
AN2 Housing Fee -All non-residential development other than government or institutional uses or nan-habitable agricultural buildings located in the Agricultural or Commercial Agricultural districts.

$3.00 per net increase in square feet of floor area
APL This fee is for an plumbing inspection (in the field).
BCB This is the Boulder Creek base fee to connect to sewer and covers up to 18 fixtures.
BCF This fee is the fee charged per fixture when a project includes more than 18 fixtures. 
BH0 This fee is applied when additional administrative processing of an application is required. 
BH2 This fee is applied when additional administrative processing of an application is required.
BH6 This fee is applied if additional hours of building inspection are needed for a project.
BHR This fee is the hourly plan check.
BPD Fee for duplicating project plans.
BSS This is a State-mandated fee for staff training on accessibility requirements.
BTF This fee is collected for training Building section staff on current regulations and code changes.
CC0 Child Care Impact Fee for Restaurant uses
CC1 Child Care Impact Fee- Single-family Dwelling, per square foot

EGR Fee for grading review associated with a pool, less than 1,000 cubic yards.
EGV This fee is the cost to review a winter grading application > than 8,000 cubic yards, or > 1,000 cubic yards in a scenic area, or associated with an EIR.
EGX This fee is the cost to review a winter grading application for up to 250 cubic yards.
EGY This fee is the cost to review a winter grading application for 251 to 1000 cubic yards.
EGZ This fee is the cost to review a winter grading application for 1001 to 8000 cubic yards.
EH2 This fee pays for the County Geologist's time to review a geology report.
EH3 This fee pays for the County Geologist's and Senior Civil Engineer's time to review a combined geology and geotechnical (soils) report.
EK1  This fee pays for the the grading review for projects with up to 250 cubic yards.
EK2 This fee pays for the the grading review for projects with 251 - 1000 cubic yards.
EK3 This fee pays for the the grading review for projects with 1001 -8000 cubic yards.
EK4 This fee pays for the the grading  review for > than 8,000 cubic yards, or > 1,000 cubic yards in a scenic area, or associated with an EIR.
