Changes to Issued Permits

Changes to issued permits can be allowed when the construction change does not require changing the overall project description and when the project is in the inspections stage. Projects which are already completed, cannot use this process. Changes to Issued Permits are strictly limited to changes that are within the original scope of work. Work that exceeds the original scope of work must be applied for as a new permit.

EXAMPLE: Changing from conventional roof framing to trusses would be within the original scope of work for a project to construct a new house. Expanding the project footprint, such as adding a deck to the project, would NOT be within the original scope of work and, therefore, would be ineligible for a Change to an Issued Permit.
