Grading Permits

Building permits which involve site grading for the development do not require a separate grading permit. In these cases, review and approval of the grading plan will take place during building permit application routing process.

Grading projects not associated with a building permit application are called "standalone" grading permits. Standalone grading permits are a Discretionary Permit. For more information, please visit our Grading Permits webpage. For inquiries about a standalone grading permit, contact Environmental Planning staff by email  or schedule an appointment.
