Residential Permits include new single-family, duplex, or multifamily projects. Follow these steps for new units, additions, and remodels. Plans are required. If you are in the beginning stages of your project, please visit our Plan Your Project webpage.
TIP: Remodels with no alteration of walls may be processed as an In-Person EZ Permit.
For a list of application requirements, use the Camino Online Permit Guide. Camino provides a customized checklist of building permit application submittal requirements & alerts tailored to your project and its location.
- Submit your application package digitally through ePlan Review. Minor kitchen or bath remodels with no alteration of walls may be applied for as an In-Person EZ Permit.
- For an overview of how to use ePlan Review, see How to submit a project in ePlan.
- The ePlan User Guide and other resources are available under "Info and Help" on ePlan Review.
- Communication about your application occurs through the email used to create your project’s ePlan Review account. Only one email address may be used per project. If you need to access your project but your email was not used to create the account, you will have to coordinate access through the account holder.
- Third-party Plan Check service is available upon request: Plan Check Service Request Residential - PLG207.
- Fees are paid in two parts. The first part is payment of the intake fees. Once your application has been accepted for processing and a building application number has been assigned, staff will email you to pay fees online here.
- Once you have paid, the project will be routed to staff for review. See How to get Started for next steps.
